Golden Princess?
I have a serious question for you guys today. With Ellie and Kahlei in school, we often hear things which were once part of our school life days but have been long (I mean, loooong) forgotten. Most recently, that little saying ‘Zero the hero, first the worst, second the best’ has cropped up and has had James, Ellie and I debating what exactly third is.
Ellie says ‘Third the golden princess’. James says it’s the one with the hairy chest and I thought it was the fairy princess. Of course we did a search and, I have to say, Google did little more than muddy the water. Although, we have been enlightened that the rhyme goes all the way up to ten with many different (and often VERY interesting) variations being cited. There were also mixtures of what we though, for example, Third the one with the golden chest or Third the hairy princess.
Some other suggestions we discovered;
- Third the turd
- Third the dirty donkey
- Third is the nerd in the polka dot dress
- Third the dirty dog mess
- Third the nerd in a barbie dress
You get my drift. I could go on and on as many people seem to have lots of different ideas.
So, help us settle our debate, WHAT is third? I’m sticking with my variation, even though I technically didn’t see a single other mention of it anywhere. And, did you know it went all the way to ten? Tell us your versions.
