We’ve had a pretty awesome Easter holiday break. We’ve been sandy, met the Easter Bilby, jumped on jumping castles, discovered mushrooms at grandma’s, fed grandpa, visited numerous different parks, seen The Lego Move (again), loomed, jumped elastics, ridden bikes, swum, stayed at Nanna’s, laughed with uncles, seen Canberra from Telstra Tower, hung with pelicans, seen stingrays and played Mini Golf with Pa and Nanna Jo and it’s been awesome.
For the most part, all three kids have been getting along a million times better than they were last term. I’ve been so much more relaxed and happy. It’s been so lovely.
Today, they go back to begin term 2 and I am not thrilled. After these holidays, I am wistfully dreaming of us all doing a trip around Australia; exploring, learning, enjoying and being. How good would that be?
Instead, I’ll be figuring out how to gently ease Jasper back into life with his sisters in school. He was just getting used to it when the holidays rolled around, poor little man.
So, I’m putting on my big girl pants and helping my boy settle again.
